About Me

My name is Shawn Annis and I am a graphic designer living in Rochester, NY. I am an artist, a photographer, a graphic designer, a web developer, and an all around maker of things. I specialize in web and app design, front end development, user experience, and creating identities and branding. I make the internet beautiful.

One of the greatest strenghs about being a designer with a computer science background is that not only can I handle the graphical aspects of any project, but I can also fully understand, participate and even lead the technical aspects of those same projects.

Since I started making websites around 8 years ago, I have been fascinated with digital design and development. What started out as a hobby (which it still is in my spare time!) has turned into a great passion.

The Bullet Points

• I would say that I am extremely fluent in the languages of HTML and CSS. I am also getting better each day with Javascript/Jquery and PHP. I am always interested in learning as much as possible.
• A lot of my experience has been self taught and have the ambition and dedication that comes with such a background, as well as being able to find joy in my work.
• My goal is to create brands and websites that readily and easily communicate with your customer base. Customer interaction goes hand in hand with successful products. Ideally, every project I ever work on will be engaging and long lasting in its influence.
• My main goal in my creative process is marrying complex and challenging ideas with easy to use interfaces. I want to do a lot of things while making things easy as possible for people.
